As the year comes to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on what makes Virginia United FC more than just a soccer club—it’s the people. This season, we’ve seen our core values of Passion, Dedication, and Family on full display. From the early morning academy sessions to the high-stakes travel matches, your commitment to excellence and sportsmanship continues to inspire us. A few holiday reminders:  Rest up: Take this time to recover and enjoy time with your loved ones. Winter Training: We kick off our indoor leagues and technical training the first week of January. Thank You: To our sponsors and volunteers who make our non-profit mission possible. Wishing you a season filled with peace, laughter, and perhaps a few soccer balls under the tree! Understanding the Transition: The Move to School-Year Age Groups

December 23, 2025
Change is coming to youth soccer, and Virginia United is here to help you navigate it. Starting in the 2026-27 season, youth soccer is transitioning from "Birth Year" (Jan–Dec) to a "Seasonal Year" (Aug–July) model. Why the change? This move, supported by US Youth Soccer and AYSO, aligns players with their school-grade peers. This promotes better social development and simplifies the transition between club and high school seasons. What does this mean for your player? The 2025-26 Season: Will remain on the current birth-year model. August 2026: All competitive programs will shift to the school-year model.  We are committed to a transparent and smooth transition. Stay tuned for more resources and town hall dates as we prepare for this exciting new chapter!
