Our Standard of Conduct
At Virginia United Football Club (VUFC), our Code of Conduct is more than just rules—it is the manifestation of our Core Values. Every player, parent, and staff member represents our community.
Player Pledge
The Core of the Club
Field Presence
Proper conduct while representing VUFC is mandatory. Inflammatory language, profane remarks, or derogatory gestures regarding gender, race, religion, or country of origin will not be tolerated.
Commitment
- Make soccer your priority sport for the season.
- Attend all team league games and tournaments.
- Be on-time and ready for all sessions.
- Perform with full effort and intensity.
Accepting Growth
Accept coach's tactical decisions (player positioning, play time, etc.) with a positive attitude. Pursue mental and physical conditioning on your own.
Self-Governance
Respect teammates and give constructive encouragement. Only coaches communicate with referees. Prioritize academic standards alongside soccer.

Community
Parents are expected to volunteer their services and talents. We are a family that shows up every day for our team, club, and community.
Sideline Conduct
No "coaching" from the sidelines. Anything outside of applause and cheering 'good play' is interference. Support the coach’s decisions on playing time and tactics.
Responsibility
- Pay all fees timely and buy uniform kits.
- Read all emails and check apps weekly.
- Commit to player attendance for all tournaments.
Communication
Encourage players to speak with their coach before intervening. Follow the chain of command: Coach first, then Club Leadership.

Social Media Policy
VUFC maintains a strict policy regarding online representation. Players and Parents agree to use platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, Team Apps) responsibly. Disparaging content about officials or opponents will result in disciplinary action.
Zero Tolerance
Verbal abuse or physical assault of referees, coaches, or players is strictly prohibited. Abuse of these policies will be handled by the Advisory Board and may result in dismissal from the club without refund.
