Welcome Academy Families!
Though I have had the honor to work with so many wonderful Academy families over the last two years, I would like to take a moment to re-introduce myself as your Academy Lead for the upcoming 2026 Spring Academy Season. After making the transition from another club a few years ago, I have had the distinct honor to be a part of the important developmental stages within the Academy aged groups at VA United within both the girls and boys programming, as well as coaching travel soccer and technical training within the U11-12 age groups. This experience has given me a deep understanding of our players' needs at every stage, and I am thrilled to now step into a larger leadership role to help shape the future of our Academy program.
I am passionate about creating an environment where young athletes feel supported, challenged, and excited to grow — both on and off the pitch. VA United Academy desires to foster a love for the game and provide a supportive environment where players feel confident in expressing their individuality, creativity, and passion, as they are provided with the foundational instruction to guide them in their pathway. I am committed to ensuring that our coaching staff, training curriculum, and overall program reflect those values each and every session.
It is my hope that with consistency, dedication, clear communication, and hard work, we can achieve all of our individual and team goals for this important developmental season. I look forward to partnering with each of you to make this a memorable and impactful spring season for your players.

We are thrilled to kick off our 2026 Spring Academy Programming, with various options to suit the developmental needs of our academy age players.
Starting from our U6 Junior Academy programming where the focus lies on creating a high energy, captivating environment as we support our players working on the FUNdamentals of comfort with the ball at their feel while they build a passion for the game. Leading into our U8 Junior Academy program where developmental training goals graduate to build the foundational understanding of player principles, roles, and standards of play. U10 Academy programming is designed to push the technical and tactical development of players who want to take soccer more seriously, along a tailored pathway that best fits their stage of development.
We are proud to announce the introduction of a new Academy Program - Elite Academy. Elite Academy is designed for the top Academy players who are showing readiness to transition into travel soccer next season. Players will register for regular academy, be invited, and evaluated through a formal tryout process before academy starts.
This new Academy structure allows us to serve a broader audience while promoting the next generation of travel players, and provide a meaningful, positive experience for players who benefit from a more appropriate competitive environment.
Our goal is to keep players engaged, supported, and developing at a pace that’s right for them,while strengthening the overall player pathway of the club.
All academy programming is under the supervision of Simon French, Academy Director in collaboration with Academy Lead, Kris Kabatov.

Program Length: 5 weeks
Dates: March 21st - April 25th
Cost: $80 (includes training, inhouse games, and training shirt)

U8 Boys Jr. Academy
Program Length: 6 weeks
Dates: March 16th - April 25th
Cost: $180 (includes training, inhouse games, and training shirt)

U10 Boys Elite Academy **NEW PROGRAM**

**Interested players must register for U10 Academy and select the option to tryout for Elite Academy placement**
Dates: March 17th - May 9th
**Season End Tournament May 16-17, 2026**
Total Cost: $400 (includes all offerings from U10 boys Academy, AND varied game format, game jersey, and season end tournament)
**Initial registration fee of $280**
**Additional fee of $120 billed upon acceptance and team placement**
